15 Camping Recipes Your Campers Will Love

Each year in August our family heads to camp for a week of swimming, boating and experimenting with new camping recipes we’ve been wanting to try.

My six year old refers to the island where we camp as her "favorite place" because there’s nothing like listening to the loons and the sizzle of the grill.

We bring our A game when it comes to camp cooking. While a good burger is great, we keep a stash of unique, delicious camping recipes at the ready.

To make things easier, I generally prep a few things in advance like chopping and parboiling potatoes for savory breakfast potatoes made in a cast iron skillet.

A bit of prep makes cooking our favorite camping recipes simpler when we’re working over an open fire or using a charcoal grill for the bulk of our meals.

Planning a big camping trip this summer? Check out these 15 camping recipes that all of your campers will love!
