If you are in a pinch, your Instant Pot will probably become your new best friend. It’s quickly become mine.
I can easily put this dish in the Instant Pot and 30 minutes later dinner is ready, plus that give me time to get the kids settled and homework going too!
Homework, I never realized how much I hated it until I had to basically do school all over again with kids. For some reason, I never realized just how many times we would experience school.
I have been relearning 3rd grade science every single week and a new way to do math too. That means dinner has to be done quickly because my brain can only take so much, right?
I like to make my own teriyaki sauce – first of all, to make it gluten-free – but also because I feel like the readymade sauce is a bit too salty for my taste.
Once I had my sauce made, all I had to do was top it over the drumsticks and let the Instant Pot do the work.
Once it’s all nice and cooked, simply garnish it with green onions and pair it with your favorite veggies. We decided to pair ours with rice and mixed vegetables.
This was one of those meals that even the kids loved without complaint too, that’s certainly a win.
Now not only is this a quick meal with the Instant Pot it’s also a frugal meal too. Drumsticks are one of my favorites to stock up on because they are so inexpensive, that means I’m always excited to try new ways to serve them.

Gluten Free Instant Pot Teriyaki Chicken Drumsticks Recipe
- 0.5 Tamari Gluten Free Soy Sauce
- 0.25 Water
- 2 Rice Wine Vinegar
- 2 Brown Sugar
- 0.25 Granulated Sugar
- 1 Garlic crushed
- 1 Ground Ginger
- 0.5 Cornstarch
- Place the drumsticks on top of the wire rack inside the Instant Pot.
- In a medium-sized saucepan, bring the sauce ingredients to bowl, whisking well until the sugars are dissolved.
- Pour evenly over the chicken in the instant pot.
- Pressure cook on high for 25 minutes.
- Serve with additional sauce if preferred and green onions to garnish.
