Pepperoni Pizza Monkey Bread Recipe

Thank goodness for recipes that come together as quickly as this Pepperoni Pizza Monkey Bread.

You can call a few friends and grab these ingredients on your way home from work and before long, the monkey bread will be in the oven. The hardest part is waiting for it to bake while your house smells like mouthwatering pizza.

Maybe you can relate, but when it comes to the menu (from friendly gatherings to football Sundays) I get caught up in the food and making a lot of work for myself. No regrets.

When everyone is fed and smiling, I’m happy and it’s totally worth it. But if we’re being honest, I like to sit and chat too. And watch football.

So I’ve been focusing more on recipes that come together easily and don’t take a lot of time in the kitchen, because I know I can’t be the only one that doesn’t want to miss out on the fun, right?
My daughter and I have a favorite dessert monkey bread recipe that has become one of her signature dishes.

Just roll the pieces in cinnamon sugar, top with a caramel sauce and dessert is pretty much ready. After it bakes, of course.

This Pepperoni Pizza Monkey Bread is made with the same concept in mind and is easy to delegate if you have willing helpers in the kitchen.

If I weren’t the one in charge of the menus, I’d still volunteer so I could be the first one to pick at the goodies. 🙂

You can’t go wrong with this one. I mean, who doesn’t love pizza? I recommend the extra marinara sauce because if you’re anything like my friends, you won’t just dip the pieces in the sauce. You’ll scoop it out!

Marinara sauce is something I often forget to buy but I always have diced tomatoes so this quick marinara sauce recipe comes with high recommendations from me. If you don’t have the onion, just use a little onion powder.

You’re going to love this monkey bread! Change it up from pepperoni and use those little sausage balls if you’re more partial to sausage.

Either way, I highly recommend it.

  • 3 Refrigerated Biscuits
  • 0.5 Vegetable Oil
  • 1 Italian Seasoning
  • 0.25 Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
  • 2 Shredded Cheese
  • 2.5 Pepperoni cut into quarters, or you can buy the cute little pepperonis
  • 4 Marinara Sauce divided

  • In a small stovetop pan measure oil, seasoning and red pepper flakes.
  • Turn stove on medium heat to warm the oil for about 5 mins. Stir it a couple times then let it cool.
  • Grease a Bundt pan.
  • Cut each biscuit into about 9 pieces and put the pieces in a large mixing bowl.
  • Cut pepperoni into quarters if you haven’t already.
  • Pour cooled oil over the biscuit pieces and fold together with a spatula, just enough to coat the pieces.
  • Fold in cheese and pepperoni.
  • Spoon half of the biscuit mixture into the greased Bundt pan.
  • Spread 1 cup of marinara sauce on top of the biscuit mixture in the pan.
  • Top with the remaining biscuits.
  • Bake for 35-45 minutes or until the biscuits are medium brown. (You know, not quite a light brown but not burned either.)
  • Let it cool for 15 minutes inside the Bundt pan on a wire rack.
  • Then transfer to a serving plate by putting a plate upside down on top of the pan, then flipping over.
  • Serve with the additional marinara sauce.
  • Enjoy!
