Tiki Drink Recipes

If you love fruity cocktails that remind you of beaches, balmy breezes and warm sunshine, then you will love our tiki drink recipes.

Whilst there is no definition of what constitutes a true tiki drink, there are some similarities you will find between these drinks – different types of rums in one glass, tropical fruit flavors and fun garnishes.

Here are four delicious tiki drink recipes to try:

Mai Tai

This one’s a classic that has evolved slightly over time, becoming fruitier than it used to be. To make one of these for yourself you will need:

1oz light rum

1oz dark rum

1oz fresh lime juice

1/2 oz orange curacao

1/2 oz orgeat syrup

1/4 oz simple syrup

Garnishes: lime shell and mint sprig

1. Add a couple of handfuls of ice to a cocktail shaker and add all the ingredients except for the garnishes. Shake well.

2. Pour the contents into an old-fashioned (short) glass and garnish by dunking the lime shell into the cocktail and topping with a sprig of fresh mint.

Despite this drink being inspired by tropical flavors, it originates in New Orleans from the 1940s. We love the sweet fruitiness of this cocktail.
