Chefman Electric Smokeless Indoor Grill

1. Chefman Electric Smokeless Indoor Grill

Amazon rating: 4.5 stars

If you remember when the George Foreman grill came out, your back hurts now and chances are you take pill for your blood pressure.

They were all the rage for a long time, but I personally never cared for the original models – at least not compared to a "real grill."

Indoor grills have come a long way since the early George Foreman grills and this Chefman Electric Smokeless Indoor Grill is a sterling example.

Today’s grills use a newer technology that greatly reduces the amount of smoke and this one garners great reviews from Amazon shoppers.

Pros: Easy to use, clean and store, inexpensive

Cons: Lacking in power, small surface for grilling

Megamaster 1 Burner Portable Gas Grill Photo

2. Megamaster 1 Burner Portable Gas Grill

Amazon rating: 4.3 stars

An outdoor portable gas grill that’s perfect for camping or picnics at the park, the Megamaster 1 Burner Portable Gas Grill is tiny but mighty.

If you’re not familiar with the brand, they’re fairly new to the United States.

Getting their start in South Africa in 1997, they’ve only recently branched out to Europe and North America.

This model comes equipped with folding legs, which is perfect for those needing to save space.

The handles are made from a soft silicon that won’t burn your hands.

You’re only working with a single burner, so you’ll be limited in what you can cook, but it shouldn’t have any problems dishing out a dozen or two hot dogs!

Pros: Lightweight, under $100, foldable legs

Cons: Small grill surface, only one burner

Blackstone Tabletop Flat Top Grill Station

3. Blackstone Tabletop Flat Top Grill Station

Amazon rating: 4.7 stars

Flat top grills have been all the rage these past few years. I’m a little late to the game, having only acquired one last summer.

Now, it’s our main outdoor cooking appliance. This Blackstone griddle comes in 17in or 22in and makes the perfect camp stove.

You may not have as much room, but cooking up a breakfast hash with fried eggs just got a whole lot easier.

Pros: Durable, low price, heats evenly, all-in-one, easy to clean

Cons: Heavy, bulky

Hamilton Beach Electric Indoor Searing Grill

4. Hamilton Beach Electric Indoor Searing Grill

Amazon rating: 4.5 stars

Using smokeless technology, the Hamilton Beach indoor grill steps it up with the ability to close the hood and keep the heat from escaping.

The grill surface is one of the smallest at only 118 square inches. It’s the perfect size for cooking a dinner for two, but I would be hesitant to entertain with this grill given the size.

Pros: High temperature sear option, closing hood, easy clean up

Cons: Bulky, hard to store, short cord.

Elite Gourmet Smokeless Electric Tabletop Grill

5. Elite Gourmet Smokeless Electric Tabletop Grill

Amazon rating: 4.5 stars

The Elite Gourmet Smokeless Electric Tabletop Grill is another solid choice for small kitchens or apartment living.

This grill is more like a griddle, but still gets the job done.

The grill plate and tempered glass lid are easily removed and they’re dishwasher safe, which is always a plus!

Pros: small, lightweight, easy to store

Cons: Doesn’t get hot enough, takes a long time to preheat, small cook surface

6. Ninja Foodi Smart XL 6-in-1 Indoor Grill

Amazon rating: 4.7 stars

The Ninja Foodi Smart XL 6-in-1 Indoor Grill is the Cadillac of indoor cooking gadgets. You can get rid of all the other stuff crowding your cabinets and just replace it with this.

Just like the other indoor grills, the Ninja Foodi doesn’t use a flame to cook the food, but rather very hot non-stick grates.

The bonus with this appliance is the ability to use it as an air fryer! Sign me up.

Pros: Time saver, space saver, 6 functions in 1 unit

Cons: More expensive, bulky, heavy
